In this communique, we will examine the 8th reason the church does not believe in reincarnation.
 
8. The idea that we are reincarnated in order to learn lessons we failed to learn in a past earthly life is contrary to both common sense and basic educational psychology. I cannot learn something if there is no continuity of memory. I can learn from my mistakes only if I remember them. People do not usually remember these past ‘reincarnations.’
 
We say: This one speaks loudly of not understanding what life is about. From the Christian perspective life is very easy indeed. As long as you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and that if you just believe in him everything will be good and you will go to heaven. Even if everything in your life is difficult, the church has presented a concept to you that alleviates all the pain and suffering, just believe.
 
What if Jesus told you something entirely different. Who would you listen to, the church or Jesus?
 
An example is something from the Gospel According to Thomas, which the church considers his writings as heresy. Why? Because it tells people that Jesus said you DO NOT NEED organized religion. ALL you need do is go within and find God.
 
Jesus said: “If those who lead you say to you, See, the Kingdom is in Heaven, then the birds of the heaven will precede you. If they say to you, It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you. But the Kingdom is within you and it is without you. If you [will] know yourselves, then you will be known and you will know that you are the sons of the Living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty and you are poverty.”

Jesus saw children who were being suckled. He said to his disciples: “These children who are being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom.” They said to Him: “Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom?” Jesus said to them: “When you make the two one, and when you make the inner as the outer, and the outer as the inner, and the above as the below, and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male, and the female [not] be female, when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in the place of a hand, and a foot in the place of a foot, [and] an image in the place of an image, then shall you enter [the Kingdom).”
 
This is a very important Teaching. As soon as we are finished with the 10 reasons against reincarnation, as put forth by the churches, we will examine the interpretation.
