Physical Health #1

The Teachings relating to healthcare were first heard when the Buddha said: “To keep the body in good health is a duty … otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.”

Looking at our society, it is obvious that we do not abide by this Teaching. We are being programmed through media what to eat to feel good, like a “happy meal”. It’s astounding how many commercials relate to food, and medications for everything, especially sex.

Some commercials will make you feel inadequate. Others will stimulate envy, desire, resentment, guilt, etc. Some are specifically designed to reach somewhere within you to motivate you. To program you.

All health issues stem from emotional conflict within. The conflict is taking place in your subconscious mind. The Spiritual Self seeks to express, at the same time the Emotional Self is in control, master of the ship.

Here’s an example of this conflict in action: in the first weeks of school, there’s always a cold or flu going around. In a class of 20, maybe 2, 3, even more students will get sick. No one else got sick, then, or during the rest of the season. So why the few who did? They were dealing with more stress. They may have felt overwhelmed. Maybe they were being shunned by their classmates, maybe someone was aggressive toward them.

All of these experiences created an accumulative stress because of internal doubt. The doubt set in motion the necessary opportunities to “catch” the “something”.

An example of this would be that the person stops eating a certain food. That element changes his/her internal health. On the other hand, they may indulge in a certain food. Either way they are setting in motion the necessary elements to catch the cold. In our next communication, we will examine the symbology of a cold.

If you have a condition or symptom that you would like help with, you can do one of two things. The first is to read about what you can do in either the Disease Symbology Handbook, or one of the books that addresses your concerns, like The Seven Causes of Cancer or Autoimmune Diseases.
