Knowledge 1

In this communication we will discuss the spiritual gift of knowledge.
Knowledge, in its broadest sense, encompasses various
forms and domains, both external and internal. Let's begin by
exploring external knowledge.
External knowledge refers to information and understanding
that exists outside of oneself. It involves acquiring facts,
concepts, principles, and skills through observation, study,
experience, and interaction with the world. This knowledge
can be obtained from books, research papers, educational
institutions, experts in specific fields, and other external
sources.
At its core, knowledge entails knowing, understanding,
comprehending, and grasping a particular subject or topic. It
encompasses synonyms such as awareness, familiarity,
insight, and proficiency. According to the dictionary,
knowledge refers to the awareness or understanding gained
through experience, study, or investigation.
However, knowledge is not a uniform entity; it varies in depth
and expertise. For instance, consider various trades or
professions like electrician, carpenter, and financial advisor. In
these fields, individuals typically start as helpers or
apprentices, gradually advancing to higher levels of
proficiency.
In the field of electricity, for example, one progresses from
being an apprentice, and eventually becomes a journeyman.
Finally, after accumulating extensive experience and
expertise, an individual can reach the level of a master
electrician. Similar progressions and terminologies can be
observed in trades like plumbing and carpentry.
Beyond trade craft, knowledge encompasses a wide range of
domains. It includes scientific knowledge, which
encompasses various disciplines such as physics, chemistry,
biology, astronomy, and more. There is also knowledge of life,
encompassing understanding of human biology, psychology,
sociology, and the complexities of existence.
Furthermore, knowledge extends to numerous other areas,
such as history, philosophy, literature, mathematics,
technology, art, music, culture, geography, and languages. It
encompasses knowledge of law, politics, economics,
medicine, engineering, and countless other fields.
In summary, knowledge is a multifaceted concept, comprising
both external and internal dimensions. It involves the
acquisition, understanding, and application of information and
skills across various domains. As individuals progress in their
respective fields, their expertise and mastery increase,
ultimately leading them to become experts in their chosen
areas.
In our next blog we will look at the most important aspect of
