In this blog we continue the inward journey.
Before we begin, there is a popular saying, in some circles, of “let go and let God.” This sounds wonderful, however, when you do that you are giving up conscious control over your emotions. That in turn allows you subconscious concepts to reign freely. When that happens, another Universal Teaching comes into play, and it’s not in your best interest. Here it is: “ask and you shall receive.”
Everyone believes that by asking God, by praying, you will receive what you are asking for, or praying for. Not true. What is really happening is that your subconscious, which is your great mind, is doing the asking. And in that case you will receive what you are asking for. That is usually the fulfillment of a pattern’s expectation. That is why there is the cliche, “be careful of what you wish for.”
It’s really important for you to wake up and start seeing the truth about things said to you, or what you see. Look to see the beauty within yourself. Understanding this will help you exercise your mind and be mindful of how patterns of behavior work in cycles.
Think of it like starting from the beginning, like Adam in the Bible. He didn't know anything at first, but he learned to name the animals, which represent the concepts in our minds. So, we need to identify and understand these concepts and how they affect our lives.
More to come in the next posting.
